At Knox Middle School, we are proud to serve students in grades 6 through 8 with a clear focus on academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and high school readiness. As a certified High Reliability School in Levels 1 through 4, Knox is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative culture, ensuring effective teaching in every classroom, maintaining a guaranteed and viable curriculum, and implementing standards-based grading practices.
Our students actively take ownership of their learning by setting goals, tracking their academic progress, and leading their own Student-Led Conferences twice a year. These conferences empower students to reflect on their growth and showcase their achievements.
We offer a rigorous and engaging course of study that prepares students for success at Lincoln High School and beyond. Our Intro to Wellness course lays the foundation for Lincoln’s Fire Pro Program, while our robust music department—featuring band, orchestra, guitar, and musical theater—nurtures creativity and discipline.
Our strong network of community partners plays an essential role in supporting the whole child. Organizations like Arc, Manhood ABC, Fancy, Girls Inc., UPAC, and Mending Matters provide mentoring and social-emotional support throughout the middle school years. In addition, +MVMNT partners with us to celebrate student and staff success through engaging, school-wide events and activities that build community and school pride.
